The MH 100 Series of mobile handsets provide feature-rich IP Telephony over 802.11b wireless networks, and is available in three models for general business, healthcare settings and industrial environments. Standard and proprietary VoIP protocol support helps ensure superior voice quality, while ease of use eliminates the need for training. All MH100 Series handsets come standard with text messaging support, programmable soft-keys and talk time up to four hours.

The MH100 Series includes:

• MH110 Mobile Handset - ideally suited for general office, financial or hospitality environments. Includes a high-resolution graphic display, menu-driven functions and messaging capability.

NEC offers you two versatile handsets to choose from:

UNIVERGE MH150 Mobile Handset – is perfect for users involved in a wide range of industries. With its lightweight, rugged design and extensive feature support, it exceeds the requirements of general office and management staff while providing a reliable option for front-line personnel in high-use environments.

UNIVERGE MH160 Mobile Handset – provides the same extensive feature set of the MH150 plus adds NEC’s unique push-to-talk (PTT) capability. This PTT capability lets users communicate instantaneously, which is a specific need of many distributed work teams that require frequent communication.

MH150 and MH160 Mobile Handsets also feature an integrated 802.11 a/b/g radio that enables you to choose your preferred wireless network for voice communications. Users with 802.11b or 802.11g networks can easily add voice communications to an existing Wi-Fi network in order to reduce equipment and management costs and protect existing WLAN infrastructure investment. Additionally, these handsets provide protection from the interference that often handicaps other mobile systems.

If deployed in high-density or mission critical environments with existing 802.11 devices on the 2.4 GHz frequency, customers can activate the MH150 and MH160 in an 802.11a mode that operates in the 5.0 GHz band. This minimizes potential interference and provides increased coverage.

Digital DECT Terminals

UNIVERGE SV8000 Series Digital DECT Terminals combine the benefits of digital telephony with the superior quality and features of DECT technology as an element of NEC’s UNIVERGE360 framework. These terminals help unify business communications by adding mobility options to your infrastructure. With the addition of the DTL-RPT-1 repeater, the coverage area of your UNIVERGE Digital DECT telephone system is extended in all directions – including up and down. If the repeaters are installed so their coverage area overlaps the coverage area of the base, the base can hand-off calls to the repeaters as the user moves from one coverage area to another. When connected to the repeater, the mobile handset operates exactly as it does when connected to the base. Hand-off from the base to the repeater is imperceptible to the user, even during an active call. This wireless system provides perfect voice quality, seamless handover and a secure air interface that protects your company’s investments in existing telephones, applications and your network infrastructure.
